We are committed to using our buildings to the glory of God, and we are very grateful for our beautiful church and church hall. Besides organising services, we use the building on a day-to-day basis ourselves. And over the years, many regular users have joined us.
At the moment we host different choirs, mother-toddler groups, and a nursery school. At the same time we welcome people to celebrate their wedding blessings and receptions with us, and we rent out different rooms for birthday parties and other festivities. The Church can be used for a group of up to 250 people, and can be hired for weddings, funerals, concerts, and (choir) rehearsals. Apart from the use of the space, we also rent out the grand piano (Bechstein), and it is possible for our organist to play at special occasions as well. The church is known for its great acoustics and its warm atmosphere, and we surely hope you will enjoy using it as well. There is a sound system to amplify speaking, with the possibility of using the beamers and screens as well. For weddings and funerals we can offer the service of a host/verger, who can help with all the practical questions and facilitate with the use of the space.
The Hall is a large open area of approximately 150m2. It is possible, using the sliding doors, to divide the space into a larger and smaller area, which is useful for receptions and smaller occasions. The hall has a very high ceiling (giving a spacious feeling) and lots of windows (which give a light impression). Our renters often do not even feel the need to decorate it, because of its already warm and friendly atmosphere. There are dark blue curtains for the windows and sliding doors. The doors on the right-hand side of the hall open onto the church ground terrace, which can be used when the weather allows. Tables and chairs to seat 150 people are available, with additional tables and chairs for children. It is possible to use our moveable bar table too, which can be placed anywhere in the room and which is very useful for buffets. The use of our piano, beamer and sound system are included in our rental fees too. Previous functions which have been hosted here include: (wedding) receptions, birthday parties, lectures, meetings, and clothing sales.
The Kitchen is well-equipped and is available to rent for catering purposes. This includes the use of our two big (gas) stoves and ovens, our fridge and freezer, and our dishwasher. We have simple wine and water glasses, kitchen utensils, cups and plates to use. Caterers enjoy using this spacious kitchen.
The Lounge is a smaller room, with seating for up to 15 people, and is suitable for informal meetings or gatherings. It is used for music classes and a mother-baby group, and could very well be used as a creche during wedding services as well. There are comfortable chairs and sofas to sit on and the space has a light and cosy atmosphere.
We offer our facilities to everyone, and we hope we will be able to serve you well so that you will be able to enjoy the spaces as much as we do. The organisation of any functions is left to the renters themselves.
