We are located in a city which, as a result of its rich legacy in international politics, is home to over 150 international legal organisations. The foundation of The Hague as a city of peace and justice was laid over a hundred years ago, in 1899, when the world's first ever Peace Conference took place in The Hague, followed by a second one in 1907. Many members of our church are employed in one of the legal institutions in the city and we endeavour to pray for them and support them in their work.
Monthly Prayer Meeting at the ICTY
This meeting which is jointly coordinated and led on rotation basis with the American Protestant Church and the English Speaking Catholic Parish of The Hague is held every first Tuesday of the month at the ICTY from 13h00 -13h30. Other than engaging with the members of our congregation who work at the Tribunal, it is an opportunity to reach out to their colleagues and friends who would like to explore the Christian faith. It is also an opportunity to pray for the work and Staff of the justice courts.
