
Tony Roake - Chaplain
Tony and Jill are both originally from the South of England and met at school. They have three children: Sam, Naomi and Joe. Jill is a teacher of English Literature and studied in Wales and at Oxford. Tony was an undergraduate at Oxford, and also trained for the ministry there. Before coming to The Hague in 2007, they served in Nottingham, Staffordshire, Dorset and, in West Sussex.

Roland Price - Honorary Assistant Chaplain
Roland is Professor of Hydro-Informatics in Delft and a non-stipendiary Anglican minister. He and his wife Thea moved to The Hague from Oxfordshire in 1997. They have five grown-up children.

Chistina Edelen - Organist
Christina Edelen,organist and choir director, comes from the United States and has lived in Holland since mid-2003. In addition to her work at the church, Christina is active in Early Music performance and teaching as a harpsichordist and organist. She and her husband Fred have two teen-age sons, Nick and Zach.

Tony May - Church Warden
Tony May, together with his wife Helen and three children, have lived in Holland on and off for 30 years and worshipped at St John & St Philip during
that time.Tony is a chemical engineer and has spent the last 20 years as an executive in the oil, gas and petrochemicals industry. Tony has now retired and, together with Helen, has settled in Leiden.

Astrid Tiesema - Reader
Astrid and her husband Jan, Dutch natives and long-standing members of St. John & St. Philip's, live in Leiden. They have two children, Lynn and Friso.

Howie Adan - Associate Chaplain
Howie Adan has been associate chaplain since September 2009. He is American, born and raised in Brazil, and is married to Renata, a Canadian. They have 4 daughters and have lived in the Netherlands for over 25 years. Before coming to St. John & St. Philip's Howie ministered in Christ Church Amsterdam, at Schiphol (airport chaplain), in Bruges and Oostende (Belgium), and with the Old Catholic Church in Amsterdam.




Jeremy Bentham - Church Warden
Jeremy is married to Mary. They have lived in The Netherlands over three periods since 1980, began to know Jesus in 1990, and first joined this church family in 1993. They have two adult daughters now living overseas, a younger son, James, and three grandchildren. They are passionately committed to the youth in the church family, and to discipleship more broadly. Professionally, Jeremy is an executive in the energy industry.
