Retreats & Weekends Away
In our fast-paced and often over-busy world, there is a great need from time to time to get away from it all, and spend time in quiet and relaxation, alone with God, or with God and one another. With this in mind, we organise a full programme of retreats and weekends away:
Men's Retreat
18-19 January 2008
A group of about 20 men from our congregation, together with a visiting speaker, spend 24 hours 'away' at a local hotel.
Women's Retreat
15-16 February 2008
This 24 hour retreat takes place at St. Willibrordushuis - a quiet space apart right in the centre of the Hague. It offers time out from the busyness of everyday life - an opportunity to relax with friends old and new, and to listen to a series of short talks.
Youth Weekend
A 'not so quiet' retreat for young people aged 11-18. Includes lots of activities, and the opportunity to learn more about being a disciple of Jesus.
20s-30s Weekends
On previous weekends we have visited the Belgian Ardennes, Friesland and Limburg.
Next weekend away: t.b.c.
Church Weekend Away
Approximately every other year, we have a weekend away for the whole church family. A large group of us spend a relaxing time together worshipping God and studying His word, enjoying great food and fellowship, and lots of fun and games. In recent years we have used the Mennorode Conference Centre at Elspeet, near Apeldoorn.
