Junior Church

Junior Church meets during the 11.00 service on Sundays. The children start in church and then move to the hall where they go to their groups and have several activities which are based on the same Bible readings as used in the main service. They go back into church on the 1st, 2nd 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month when they take Holy Communion with there families.

"It's Sunday morning in the Church Hall and there is a lot of movement: Chairs and tables are dragged around, boxes opened and unpacked, glue, paints, paper, card all found somewhere in a cupboard. Some children are busy polishing the floor by sliding across it at high speed on their not yet torn trousers, others are exploring the arts and craft stuff on the smallest tables. A thrill of excitement pervades the hall, someone tinkles a few cheery worship tunes on the piano, a little girl is dancing along - it's Junior Church!

Together we celebrate the good things God has given us with activities, prayers and a whole range of hymns and songs. Before we know it, parents and older siblings appear from Church or Pathfinders and it is "Bye-Bye", "God bless", "Well done" and "See you next Sunday" once again! Our Junior Church family departs and we hope that they be aware of God's presence with them in their busy lives at home, school and at other activities."
